Welcome to the Disco Insurance Website
Looking for Cheap Disco Public Liability Insurance?
If you are a Mobile DJ and provide a Mobile Disco hire service, then you'll likely require Public Liability Insurance if you provide Wedding Disco Entertainment, public and private hire function entertainment.
Wedding Venues and public hire venues can request that hired entertainment provide a minimum level of Liability Insurance. This is the venues right.
If no proof of cover is provided, the venue can object and decline entry to the entertainment provider on to their premises.

Public Liability Insurance - why should I have it?
Firstly, I have to make it clear that Public
Liability Insurance is NOT a legal requirement! However, in
the event of a claim, it is better to be covered than not!
In the last few years, Public Liability Insurance or
'PLI' has been increasingly discussed on DJ social networking sites.
Venues are increasingly requesting that entertainment providers
demonstrate cover to their level of requirement. If an
insufficient level of 'PLI' cover is offered, the venue can turn
away the entertainment service.
Depending on the type of venue, the 'PLI' level of
requirement will vary. A top city hotel may require a much
higher 'PLI' level of indemnity cover than the village hall or
function suite.
With this in mind, the DJ Associates DJ Association
introduced full DJ Public Liability Insurance as a member benefit
with a £10M Public and Products Liability Insurance cover.
In the event of a claim against the entertainer -
example
Should an entertainer damage the venue property, the
Public Liability Insurance included with DJ Association membership
will cover up to £10million pounds.
Up to £250,000 legal defence costs are also included
with membership.
For example, if the mobile DJ's disco equipment
damaged a hotel function suite curtains and staging area, the venue
would pursue a claim against the mobile DJ service for repair costs,
along with loss of earnings.
